Willow Walk Business Center, located at the intersection of Newberry Rd. and NW 138th Terr. in Jonesville, has undergone some changes over the past couple of months.

Aside from AKEA, Inc.’s departure from the site (see above story), Exit Realty Producers, operated by broker Rhonda Leschanz, recently moved from its 1,488-square-foot space to a 4,300-square-foot office at the north end of the plaza. The move happened on the one-year anniversary of the date Exit Realty Producers began operating with Leschanz and Realtor Debra Oberlin.

Exit Realty is the sixth largest real estate franchise in the nation and one of the fastest growing in the industry. The business attributes its fast growth to providing its agents with residuals and a stake in the company.

It has 172 offices in Florida, but Leschanz’s Producers office was the first Exit franchise in the Gainesville area.

New Tearoom Open

The Willows Tearoom recently opened in the space formerly occupied by The Living Room, a coffeehouse. The tearoom, which is open Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., is operated by Anna Bouen, who also is the owner of Eventfuls Banquet Center. Eventfuls’ banquet rooms are in the same building in the Willow Walk Business Center.

The tearoom, which also will open in the evenings and on weekends by special appointment, will feature a choice of 12 teas, scones, desserts, soups and other foods. 

In addition, the Willows Tearoom will be available for events such as children’s teaparties, baby and bridal showers, adult birthday parties, club meetings, bridge clubs and church groups.
