The Newberry-Jonesville Chamber of Commerce held its annual awards banquet and meeting in January.

The guest speaker was State Representative Debbie Boyd (D-High Springs).

The event, which was catered by Newberry Backyard Bar-B-Q at Eventfuls in Jonesville, was highlighted by the Chamber’s annual awards presentations.

Most notable was the “Lifetime Achievement Award,” which was presented to Capital City Bank president Don Davis, who is also is a noted local history buff.

Christy Finnegan (Millenium Bank, Community Service Volunteer of the Year), Anne Maria Alfano (PBParrot Designs & Computer Service, Member of the Year), Daba Designworks (Small Business of the Year) and Capital City Bank (Large Business of the Year) also were honored at the banquet.
