The law firm of Bogin, Munns & Munns, P.A., has added personnel at its Gainesville office, with the addition of attorney Zana Dupee and legal assistant Angie Tipton. Attorney Adam Towers opened the office in the late summer 2007.

Dupee, who went to both undergraduate and law school at the University of Florida, started working at Bogin, Munns & Munns in January. She was a research editor on the Florida Law Review, which is where she met her husband Michael, who was a five-day winner on the game show Jeopardy! and also was a “Tournament of Champions” winner on the show. The couple has three children, including Zadia (age 14), Spencer (9) and Charles (4).

Dupee worked as general counsel for several startup dot-com companies in the late ‘90s and transitioned into private practice by helping people with real estate matters, estate planning and business matters. She also was the general counsel for Nationwide Insurance for more than 2 years.

Dupee says she was attracted to Bogin, Munns & Munns by the level of service she will be able to provide. “We have really great resources in this firm,” says Dupee. “We have 40 attorneys and more than 100 support staff members. We have a lot of support to give a level of customer service to clients that you really can’t do just as a solo.”

Dupee says she has been handling a lot of quiet title disputes, but she also specializes in commercial and residential real estate, wills, trusts and probate and general corporate law.

Tipton, who worked as public information officer for the University of Florida police department for eight years and also worked in the guardian ad litem program, says she wanted to be challenged by working in a law office. Aside from working the phones and general administrative work, Tipton also works with clients, drafts correspondence and does other necessary work for the attorneys.
